LOCATION
| Orgon
is situated 25 km south of Avignon, on the edge of the Alpilles,
a chain of mountains running East to West through Provence. From
Orgon the view is through the Durance Valley and the plains of
Cavaillon, famous for its fruits, in particular the melons. |

The
area surrounding Orgon is rich and varied, providing the visitor
to Mas de Bazarde with many interesting opportunities. The nearest
beach is approximately 40 km away, whilst within a short drive
can be found St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture
and Les Beaux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations.
Further afield but within easy reach is Pont du Gard, Avignon
with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront,
the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
For the nature lover there is the Camargue including an ornithological
park. Cavaillon is just 5 km away, and The Luberon National
Park is on the doorstep.

Travelling
to Mas de Bazarde
By
Car: Orgon lies on the Route Nationale RN7, South of Avignon and
is situated between Saint Andiol and Senas. Alternatively, when travelling
on the Autoroute A7, take the exit signed Cavaillon and follow the
signs St Remy de Provence/ Plan d'Orgon, and then follow the signs
south to Orgon. Once into the village of Orgon, take a left turn onto
Route de Bazarde, which is a one-way system and is immediately after
the crossing lights. Mas de Bazarde is the second house on your right.
By
Air: The nearest airports are Marseille and Nimes, which are
approximately 50 minutes away by car. Other airports within 2 hours
distance are Nice, Montpellier and Lyon.
By
Train: The nearest train station is at Avignon, which is approximately
25 minutes from Mas de Bazarde. There is a TGV link available direct
from London Waterloo to Avignon, and this takes approximately 6 hours.
